Your talent is a muscle, sharpen your axe.
Learn your lines faster, dig deeper into your scenes, shoot your self-tapes, and keep a daily rhythm with a routine of personalized exercises.
Spot what slows you down
Build a work habit, not a shortcut
Train regularly: without it, talent stalls, even for the best. Pick up the habit at school, and keep it for a whole career.
Sustain
Extend what you work on in class into your daily life, then keep the same rhythm once you graduate, never losing that training reflex.
Train
A daily training space to learn and analyze a scene fast, alone or with others, and shoot your self-tapes, whether practicing or for a real audition.
Ritualize
The actor’s Dojo: a customizable routine, 15 minutes for your voice in the morning, a scene in the evening, like an athlete keeping pace between sessions.
Work every stage, from first read to the self-tape you send.
Learn your lines
Spaced-repetition memorization and an asynchronous scene partner between friends. Invite someone onto the same scene, annotate it together, exchange, build.
Analyze your scene
Deepen your analysis, or pick the one suggested by our assistant. Enough to walk in with choices that truly feel like you.
Shoot your self-tapes
Record yourself, watch it back, compare takes, refine until it’s ready, then share it on your profile. The same tool for rehearsing and for sending the real thing.
Step into the Dojo daily
A 15-minute routine you customize: voice in the morning, body or an emotion to work on in the evening. The ritual that keeps your talent sharp between projects.

What is Acto?
Acto is a mobile app for an actor’s daily training: learn a text, break down a scene, film your self-tapes and keep a steady work rhythm, on your own or with others. It’s coming to iOS and Android, and the waitlist is open.
How does Acto help you learn lines faster?
You import your scene, Acto splits it into lines and walks you through it step by step: reading, fill in the blanks, first letters, then a full run-through with a voice giving you the cues. Spaced repetition brings back whatever resists, and the teleprompter follows you while you act.
Can I rehearse without a partner?
Yes. A voice gives you the cues, or a friend records theirs once and for all from home. You rehearse whenever you want, even on a Sunday at 11pm, without lining up two schedules.
Can I shoot my self-tapes with Acto?
Yes: built-in teleprompter, several takes, side-by-side comparison, trimming, and your partner’s voice already in the soundtrack. The same tool to rehearse and to send the version the casting director will receive.
What languages is Acto available in?
The app and this site are in English, French, Spanish, Italian and German. You work on your texts in whichever language you like.
When does Acto launch, and how do I get access?
Acto is coming soon to iOS and Android. Leave your email on the waitlist: signing up is free with no strings attached, and we’ll tell you at launch, before it opens to everyone.
